About
Hi, I'm Joe. This is my studio.
Hopbine Design is a one-person studio building websites and apps for small businesses across the UK.
I started Hopbine because too many small businesses end up with a website built by someone they never hear from again. I wanted to offer the opposite: a real person who designs your site, builds it, hosts it and is still there to help years later.
As well as client websites, I build my own apps. My first, Interval, helps people take back their time from endless scrolling — it's out now on the App Store for iPhone and Mac.
The name comes from the hop bine — the climbing stem of the hop plant. It grows steadily with the right support, which is exactly how I think about the sites I look after.
How I work
What you can expect.
Personal
You'll always deal with me. I learn your business and remember it.
Honest
Clear prices, plain English and realistic timelines. If you don't need something, I'll say so.
Crafted
Hand-built sites that are fast, accessible and a joy to use — not templates.
Long-term
Like a hop bine, the best websites keep growing. I'm here after launch, too.
Let's build something you're proud of.
Tell me a little about your business and what you need. I'll get back to you personally — usually the same day.
